Again, pharma/biopharma was a hot topic at the 42nd ISCC in Riva del Garda. Using data elaborated by Christof Regl and Therese Wohlschlager, Christian Doppler Laboratory Head Christian Huber presented a critical check on the capabilities of chromatography and mass spectrometry with respect to revealing oxidation in biopharmaceuticals. Details will follow soon in a short article to be published in the LCGC Biopharmacuetical Perspectives Column.
After a number of struggles, Therese Wohlschlager's work on deciphering highly complex glycosylation in a therapeutic fusion protein using enzymatic tools and native mass spectrometry finally got published in Nature Communications. Full text is available here.
Wolfgang Skala's manuscript entitled "MoFi – A software tool for annotating glycoprotein mass spectra by integrating hybrid data from the intact protein and glycopeptide level" was on-line published in Analytical Chemistry - congratulations! The preprint is available here.
